So...I've been meaning to pop on here and post something new since this past weekend when we went to see The Last Exorcism. So, here we go...I just threw the new Dean & Britta release in my CD player and sat down with the laptop for another installment.
First...it was number 1 at box office! That is awesome news...a lot of Horror movies don't land on the top, it's always nice to see that.
Anyway, the movie...was real good. I enjoyed it. It's the type of movie that you look forward to seeing a second time to get more out of. Overall it was enjoyable. It started off kind of slow with some humor even, but it builds up to the good stuff and pretty much let's it flow up until the very abrupt ending. Something that I really liked about the film was the fact that it seemed to bring you to an ending only to bring you back into the film, there were 2 times when I thought it was going to end and it didn't, which is something I like in a film. However when it ends, you definitely want more and are kind of perplexed.
I was a bit skeptical about it because anything that has Eli Roth's name on it I tend to avoid after Cabin Fever and Hostel...what pieces of garbage. But at least he didn't write or direct this.
I know it's getting mixed reviews but I definitely advise giving it a go. There are some really great parts that will get ya. I know when most people think "Exorcism movie"...what could possibly be better that The Exorcist? The answer is nothing, but we have to keep an open mind. The flick was good and until the day after when we had the discussion of ..."Well, who found the video?" Was I a bit put off, but maybe some DVD extras will clear that up.
It's good. Go to it.
