Special Exorcist Screenings with Fathom Events!

Hey Ghouls- Been a crazy day and wanted to post this sooner, but better late then never I guess.

Fathom Events is having special screenings of the Extended Director's Cut of The Exorcist...TONIGHT (9/30)-They will also be showing never before seen footage behind the scenes. Very cool, this movie never gets old.

I do believe shortly after this they are putting out a super special edition on Blu-Ray, not sure if it will be DVD format though, bummer.

Anyway, check out http://www.fathomevents.com/ and get yer head spinnin'!

Been a second...

Trying to keep up with the Blog and make it fun and maybe turn people on to some of the things that I post...so, this one is just random.

A bunch of cool stuff has been coming out be it that we are so close to Halloween. (YAY!)
A few great things are:
-Bugs Bunny's Howl O-Ween Special.
-2 New Goosebumps DVDS-Go Eat Worms and The Blob That Ate Everyone
-For those of you that want a good Heavy Rock record too...The new Murderdolls album came out. It's called "Women And Children Last" It entered at number 43 on Billboard I think when it came out end of August.

And tomorrow...Sept. 28th.
-Rob Zombie is putting out a Special Edition of Hellbilly Deluxe 2.
-Also...a movie that I never thought would make it to DVD, Night Of The Scarecrow!!! I'm so excited about this. I remember my Mother loved this movie and it was only ever on TV. I remember being scared out of my wits and crying over it. Hell yea! Can't wait.

The Last Exorcism

So...I've been meaning to pop on here and post something new since this past weekend when we went to see The Last Exorcism. So, here we go...I just threw the new Dean & Britta release in my CD player and sat down with the laptop for another installment.

First...it was number 1 at box office! That is awesome news...a lot of Horror movies don't land on the top, it's always nice to see that.

Anyway, the movie...was real good. I enjoyed it. It's the type of movie that you look forward to seeing a second time to get more out of. Overall it was enjoyable. It started off kind of slow with some humor even, but it builds up to the good stuff and pretty much let's it flow up until the very abrupt ending. Something that I really liked about the film was the fact that it seemed to bring you to an ending only to bring you back into the film, there were 2 times when I thought it was going to end and it didn't, which is something I like in a film. However when it ends, you definitely want more and are kind of perplexed.

I was a bit skeptical about it because anything that has Eli Roth's name on it I tend to avoid after Cabin Fever and Hostel...what pieces of garbage. But at least he didn't write or direct this.

I know it's getting mixed reviews but I definitely advise giving it a go. There are some really great parts that will get ya. I know when most people think "Exorcism movie"...what could possibly be better that The Exorcist? The answer is nothing, but we have to keep an open mind. The flick was good and until the day after when we had the discussion of ..."Well, who found the video?" Was I a bit put off, but maybe some DVD extras will clear that up.

It's good. Go to it.
